Achieving this waterfall shot turned out to be quite challenging. A storm started coming in not long after I arrived, and the temperature, which was only about 37 degrees to begin with, was on its way toward the freezing mark.
In addition, the enormous spray from the waterfall was constantly sending droplets in my direction. I was worried that the pictures would be spoiled by my inability to keep the filter clear or the growing numbness of my hands.
Fortunately, everything worked out. Waterfalls are my favorite subject to shoot, and for a combination of beauty and sheer power, this one is darn tough to beat.
